Duke TIP is always looking for ways to improve our offerings for students, families, and teachers. Based on feedback we’ve received from families, we’ve decided to streamline our independent learning offerings as of September 1. Going forward, we’ll continue to develop innovative, challenging, and engaging learning experiences for our students as well as resources for their parents and teachers.
After September 1, 2017, Duke TIP will continue to offer some of our most popular independent learning courses—MathPack: Quest, WordPower, and Algebra I. TIPsters will also still be able to pursue independent study of one (or more) of twenty languages through Rosetta Stone Foundations for K–12. Online IL courses purchased by TIP families prior to September 1 will remain available to the students who purchased them and we will continue to provide technical support for those courses.
In the meantime, we’re actively pursuing ways to utilize the rich academic content we’ve developed in innovative new ways, including an initiative to equip teachers with resources that will support and inspire their instruction of gifted students. To hear about these new resources as they debut, please watch your email for notices from email@example.com and be sure to check out our other online offerings, including enrichment activities and eInvestigators Program for fourth to sixth graders and our eStudies Program for seventh to eleventh graders.
You do not need to be a member of Duke TIP to purchase our Independent Learning workbook courses or Algebra 1 Online. However, TIP members receive a substantial discount on Algebra 1 Online and exclusive access to Rosetta Stone Foundations. To qualify for the discount and in order to purchase Rosetta Stone, you must enroll in either the 4th–6th Grade or the 7th Grade Talent Search.
