A student looking on at her classmates during a discussion

Each Scholar Weekend focuses on a single advanced topic that could be anything from science fiction to entrepreneurship, mathematical proofs, Shakespeare, genetics, computer programming, or more. Different courses may be offered in the spring and fall. You can learn more about the program philosophy and experience.

The course search also only includes courses offered at Duke TIP–run sites; you can see the courses offered by our partner sites around the country on the sites page.

Over the course of two days, students in grades seven through eleven can explore new subjects in detail through hands-on and project-based learning. Courses cover a range of subjects and take place in Charlotte or Durham, North Carolina, or Winter Park, Florida, throughout the academic year.
