Cost and Financial Aid
The 7th Grade Talent Search charges a onetime enrollment fee of $75. This fee gives students access to TIP benefits until the end of high school. Please note that this fee is nonrefundable.
This fee also covers the cost of one test registration for either the ACT (no writing) or SAT (no essay).
TIP believes that all academically talented students should be able to attend our programs, and that all students benefit when our community of learners is diverse. We welcome students from all economic backgrounds and provide a fee grant to students who qualify for free or reduced programs at school.
Whether enrolling online or by paper, students who are eligible to receive a fee grant will pay an enrollment fee of $30 instead of $75. To receive the grant, you must submit your free or reduced lunch approval paperwork or a fee grant form (DOCX) on school letterhead, signed by a school official. A Spanish version (DOCX) is also available.
Students qualify for the 7th Grade Talent Search by scoring at or above the 95th percentile on a grade-level standardized test. Enrollment provides benefits that last through the end of high school, including the opportunity to take the ACT or SAT, specialized publications, college prep advice, and access to educational programs.
