Cost and Financial Aid
The 7th Grade Talent Search charges a onetime, nonrefundable enrollment fee of $80.
The fee covers the cost of one test registration for the ACT (no writing) or SAT (no essay) and provides students with access to TIP benefits until the end of high school.
TIP believes that all academically talented students should be able to attend our programs, and that all students benefit from a diverse community of learners. We welcome students from all economic backgrounds and provide financial aid to students who qualify for free or reduced lunch programs at school.
Our financial aid lowers the enrollment fee to $30. To receive it, simply submit your free or reduced lunch approval paperwork or a financial aid form (DOCX) on school letterhead, signed by a school official. A Spanish version (DOCX) is also available.
If your school does not offer free or reduced lunch, you may provide documentation that you meet the USDA income eligibility guidelines for reduced price meals. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Students qualify for the 7th Grade Talent Search by scoring at or above the 95th percentile on a grade-level standardized test. Enrollment provides benefits that last through the end of high school, including the opportunity to take the ACT or SAT, specialized publications, college prep advice, and access to educational programs.
