Program Details, Policies, and Philosophies
Field Studies is a chance to experience something most young scholars don’t experience until they are beginning their careers.
At Field Studies, academically talented students aren’t just able to study an advanced topic—they get to experience it firsthand. They make use of leading resources and sites—including research-grade equipment, site visits, actual lab work, and more—to learn by doing in their chosen topics.
They are also surrounded by a supportive community of other gifted students who work together to create an ambitious, engaging intellectual environment. With an expert residential staff to ensure a welcoming atmosphere, students connect with the peers who will be their future college classmates.
It’s an experience that inspires new passions, gives a preview of college academics, and creates life-changing friendships.
