The Field Studies program is open to gifted students in grades nine through twelve, including non-TIP students. International students are welcome. Admission is granted on the basis of a portfolio application, assessing multiple components to determine admittance and placement. While it is very likely that any motivated student will succeed in these courses, they have been developed specifically for academically gifted students.
These two-week residential programs for students in ninth through twelfth grade take place at Duke University, New College of Florida, or one of several unique field study locations. Courses take place during the summer and cover a variety of different academic disciplines.
