Raspberry Pi: Fundamentals of Technology Systems

Could you set up a computer from scratch? Where would you start? What rules and permissions would you establish on your personal system? How would you configure and secure your device and network? The Raspberry Pi is a palm-sized computer students will set up themselves, and students can continue to add components and configure this device long after the conclusion of the course. Using this platform, students will explore all the main areas of information technology, including the architecture of a computer, the differences between hardware and software, and elements of operating systems. Students will also learn about networks, computer programming and computer security. Students can test the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi by diving deeper into a specific area of interest such as network monitoring and security or Python programming.
