The Residential Hall Leader assists the Residential Life Coordinator with daily residential operations. The Residential Hall Leader assists with supervising the residential staff and helps implement the residential life mission. The Residential Hall Leader supports the student experience by providing assistance and advice to residential staff.  Housing and meals are provided on site.

Job Duties


  • Collaborate with the Residence Life Coordinator to organize and lead training and prepare orientation materials for residential staff before each term

  • Facilitate at least one residential in-service training or workshop per term

  • Organize daily programs and activities for students, including evening programs and weekend events

  • Organize student residence hall meetings and facilitate community building

  • Evaluate and report as directed at the end of the program

Staff Supervision

  • Duties include full-time live-in day, evening and weekend commitments

  • Manage Residential Counselors by facilitating individual and staff meetings

  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Educational Requirements

A minimum of two years of college is required. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Experience as a camp counselor, college residential assistant, or experience with programs for the academically gifted is preferred.
