A girl grinning in class

The Duke TIP eInvestigators program offers you the opportunity to work with younger academically gifted students around the world within a virtual learning environment. eInvestigators offers you a month-long instructional period, preceded by about a week of training to familiarize staff with the eInvestigators approach and case demands.

eInvestigators is committed to teaching gifted students vital online research and critical thinking skills, connecting students with each other, connecting students with an Instructor, and connecting students with ideas in a fun, highly engaging learning environment centered around solving a real-life academic “mystery.”  You are responsible for keeping the course challenging and engaging for students by providing guidance, using Google Apps for Education, Web 2.0 tools, and other instructional technology applications.

eInvestigators provides both asynchronous and synchronous interaction on a weekly basis for gifted students and requires 8–10 hours per week during the 4-week term.

You should possess a genuine interest in the academic, social, and emotional growth of adolescents and exhibit maturity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to serve as a role model.
