Scholar Weekends at Duke University
Challenging Students Academically in a College Atmosphere
Duke TIP Scholar Weekends provide opportunities for academically talented students to take short courses during weekend-long programs on East Campus at Duke University. The program is open to students in grades 8–11 who are Duke TIP 7th GradeTalent Search participants or who are identified as academically gifted by local school criteria.
Courses introduce topics that might not be available in local schools, delve into a specific subject with great detail, and help students consider options for college majors and careers. Scholar Weekends provide an opportunity to meet similarly motivated peers.
